Diomidis Spinellis is a Professor of Software Engineering in the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business and a Professor of Software Analytics in the Department of Software Technology at the Delft Technical University. His research focuses on software engineering, IT security, and machine learning applications. He has written two award-winning, widely-translated books: “Code Reading” and “Code Quality: The Open Source Perspective”. His most recent book is “Effective Debugging: 66 Specific Ways to Debug Software and Systems”. He has also published more than 300 technical papers, which have received more than 12000 citations. He is Editor-in-Chief emeritus of the IEEE Software magazine. He has contributed code that ships with Apple’s macOS and BSD Unix and is the developer of UMLGraph, CScout, git-issue, and other open-source software packages, libraries, and tools. Dr. Spinellis is a senior member of the ACM and the IEEE.

Vasiliki has a bachelor’s in Law from the Faculty of Law of the National Kapodestrian University of Athens, and a Master’s on International, European and Comparative Law, majoring Law and Information Society from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tuku, in Finland. In 2021 she completed her Doctoral Studies, funded by the Academy of Finland, writing her dissertation on Internet Governance, Digital Constitutionalism and Human Rights online. Throughout her studies she has researched issues related to Internet Governance, privacy, data protection and freedom of expression, as well as the intersection of Internet Governance and fundamental rights, and the normative aspects of technology. Her current research interest is centered around Artificial Intelligence, the legal and ethical challenges in engineering and technology development, data trading and data sharing, and children digital maturity. She is also a Data Protection Officer and a passionate Privacy and Ethics in Research and Technology advocate. Since 2018, Vasiliki is a Research Fellow at the ELTRUN Lab of the AUEB, working in several EU funded Research Projects. She also offers legal counseling and workshops on issues related to law and technology, law and innovation, privacy, and Internet law.

Panagiotis Kasnesis holds a Ph.D degree in computer science from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NTUA. He received his diploma degree in chemical engineering and his M.Sc. in techno-economic systems from NTUA, in 2008 and 2013 respectively. Moreover, he is a lecturer at the MSc program “Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning” (https://aidl.uniwa.gr/) and he is certified as Instructor and University Ambassador, by NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI), in the tasks of Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and Recommender Systems.
